GitAuth: The Git Authentication Server

Overview

GitAuth is a git authentication server that makes it easy to maintain a collection of git repositories on a remote server with authenticated access through SSH. GitAuth gives you a command line interface, and a web interface to create and manage git repositories, users, and permissions.

Motivations

We have been using GitAuth at Brown Beagle Software since early 2009. Our motivation was simple: to retain secure ownership of our git repositories, and to manage access to those repositories easily.

Web Interface

The GitAuth web interface is straight forward and easy to use. There's three parts: repositories, users, and groups.

We still need to flesh out the rest of this page, but you'll find the source and more documentation on Github.
