SoulScope

Overview

• Premium SMS provider
• Brown Beagle Software developed the core system for handling reporting, third-party usage, configuration, logging and sending SMS messages
• On-going business and marketing guidance

SoulScope may be a small start-up but they have big ideas and a lot of motivation. We teamed up with SoulScope to create a custom solution for their horoscope subscription service.

Brief

To develop an all-encompassing solution for a company that sends premium SMS to subscribers worldwide.

Our Solution

• Developing start-up processes - working closely with the founder of SoulScope, we initiated a plan for development that could be adapted as situations dictated. When requirements did shift we were able to readjust our development flow to work with the client’s requests.
• Third-party integration - the system connects with third-party horoscope and premium mobile web services to deliver the core services seamlessly.
• Administrative Tools - the backend development associated with this project was split into four core areas:
• Reporting - We created a comprehensive statistics module that allowed the client to view the overall performance of the site, including a real-time snapshot of the system and the number of subscribers.
• User management - One of the most important aspects of this project was to ensure that support staff could easily navigate and use the system. The user management module allows staff to override automated controls to perform activities such as manually sending an SMS or resetting passwords.
• Third-party usage - The client can easily monitor the usage of third party services to ensure that all costs fall within expected budgets.
• Configuration - The core of the system allows for extensive configuration based upon the needs of the Client. As they grow, SoulScope can customise each module accordingly.

Result

The SoulScope project started as a small, simple idea and has grown into an exciting venture with a lot of possibilities. In conjunction with providing on-going technical and marketing guidance, we continue to monitor and manage SoulScope’s software and web application requirements.
